Quantity drops to zero after every sale

A bit of a strange one but frustrating to say the least, Ive been selling this specific product for the last couple of months and selling hundreds per week then 2 weeks ago the sales just stopped and then I realised that the quantity was at zero which I thought was strange as I still had hundreds in stock, so I reset the quantity then pretty miuch immediately made another sale then nothing for a few hours when I realised the same thing happened again now everytime I make a sale the qauntity drops to zero, I've ended the listing and restarted it but still does it, Ive tried talking to ebay to find out whats going on but am getting nowhere.

I also am having the same issue with prices, I will adjust my price of a listing make a sale then the price drops back to where it was prior, its literally becoming a joke.

I dont suppose anybody has had anything like this?

Quantity drops to zero after every sale

This has just started happening to me, I only found out because the sales totaly stopped for a popular item and I thought I'd forgot to update the listing, I had a buyer ask if I had more in stock so I updated the listing and told them I'd done that for them, in the meantime I sold some as soon as I updated the listing, then the original buyer messaged me saying the lisitng was still not showing stock, so I checked and sure enough the items I'd sold had rendered the quanties of those items to zero, even though they only bought a couple.

Did a solution ever get given?

Quantity drops to zero after every sale

hi, no it didn't via ebay but I worked out it was happening for me because my inventory system was showing out of stock and so it kept overriding my manual changes to the ebay listing.  I'm not sure if you run off a backend inventory management system but if you are check SKU and QTY are matching with the listing.

Good luck, it's the most irritating issue!!!

Thanks for the reply Nina, I don't run one for this listing so it's not that unfortunately, I've spoken to ebay and they said it's a known issue, but as it's been happening at least since January, I don't have much hope of them fixing it any time soon, will have to keep an eye on it unless someone else has a solution!

The same here. It's been happening for months. Hugely annoying. The strange thing is that it's only on certain items.

I contacted ebay and they couldn't fix it and had no solution, I eventually figured out a fix for myself.

Revise your listing

Scroll down to variations and click edit

You should then see 'attributes and options you've selected' click edit again

Then remove the effected items from the attribute box and then click 'create your own' and add them back again ( I changed the wording slightly just to be sure), add your pictures, price back etc

Then update Variations, add rows automatically

save changes and you should be sorted.

Hope this helps anyone with similar issues

Do your listings end when they go to zero or do they stay active?  If they stay active I'd end them then relist or switch to good till cancelled or sold for ones still with quantities,

Thanks Chris, but I've tried all of the above without success. On some listings the quantity goes up randomly. It's bizarre. It's like having a ghost in the machine. 😂 Needless to say Ebay haven't replied to requests for help.
