Hi Ebay community!
I am working super hard on keeping my prices super low, proving great customer service and doing frequent gift-giveaways!!
Are there any suggestions anyone can lend me, in order to gain more followers? I really want to reach a large audience in order to hopefully turn this into a full time thing (one day)
Any advice will be gratefully appreciated 🙂
Kind Regards,
Jen

To be honest, we just gained followers over time with the business I work for.
Best thing to do is to ensure you sell products that are similar (ie all preowned clothing etc) and eventually people will follow you if they like what you are selling and want to get updates on what is new in your store (which I think ebay trigger as regular automated emails)
You are doing better than I am. I've got 3 followers from 102 items sold (but I sell sporadically)

Followers?
eBay isn't a social media site.
What you hope for is a watcher who will actually buy your item, not just stick it in their watch list where it will fester for eternity.

Did you know you have 12 followers on ebay?

No I didn't.
I bet my followers don't realise they're following me.
I used to follow businesses I repeat bought from, but now I either find them in my purchase list or buy from them direct if possible.

Members select to follow another seller, it's not done by accident , so they do realise they are following you.
I follow a dozen or so sellers, but only check their items when I remember , or wish to buy that certain collectable item.

I see your point.
As ever it's a sensible response, but I suspect most of my followers hark back to when it was easy to hit the "save this seller" button by accident.
And when followers weren't anonymous to who those they were following.🙈
I've stopped selling due to my disenchantment with eBay and TBH if it was possible to remove my followers I would.
Anyway back on topic good luck to the OP.

Yep receive emails when followed accounts post new items.
Thought it was a good question and maybe part of the key to selling on here consistently, when you look at some of the regular selling accounts they all have good following numbers.
No help with the OPs question but maybe start with checking out the top 10 clothing sellers on here you like to see what they are doing and like Jona mentions.. consistency across the board. Social media maybe worth looking into as well.

Thank you. I sell preloved items and some new. So I don't really have a theme. I'm more of an online bootsale 😂

Yeah I noticed that too. They seem to have built up followers overtime which shows credibility...and I really want to make my page look as professional as possible. Thanks guys 👍
