'How Would You Rate Your Item' in feedback section should be changed

I ALWAYS leave feedback for buyers or sellers but I'm in agreement with those who are not comfortable with the recently introduced compulsory 'How Would You Rate Your Item' from 1 to 5. You can't leave feedback without submitting a rating.

I've seen people replying saying it's a rating of the transaction....well then, why didn't they put 'How Would Rate This Transaction' from 1 to 5. As well as that there ARE reviews for items and how good they are so how are we supposed to know that this isn't contributing to that if it says 'how would you rate this ITEM'.

It means that thousands of people won't be leaving feedback (like myself) because they've only just received their item and, reading it correctly, will deem it something to do later when they've used the item.

Call me pedantic but it's always best to use the correct words. Say what you mean. If it's 'how would rate the transaction' then don't put 'how would you rate the item' cos that's to do with rating the item itself, not the transaction. Obviously?

Sort it out Ebay.

Thanks for the link.  Hadn't even noticed the new system for feedback till today.  Again, so stupid.  I want to give good feedback to the seller quickly, but why would I rate a car part I have only just bought, might not install for a few weeks, and won't know if it is ok till it's been in my care for a good while longer?

You have 60 days in which to leave feedback,  if you wish to leave any.

Try the part out, make sure it functions as described,  then if you want to,  it is voluntary,  you can leave that feedback.

Thanks, the link worked fine.  I'll tell others about it.  Cheers, Mark!
