Hi, are anyone else’s sales at rock bottom? Mine were fairly slow over the summer as expected but haven’t improved at all. Gone from 7/8 sales a day to literally one this week? Thanks

I think eBay have finally accepted they have an issue, first time in over 15 years of contacting CS they asked how my sales were compared to last year and previous years. Told them they are 60%+ down and I'm actually having zero days which before this year were unheard of, she asked the usual things, promotions, sending offs, free postage which I do all of and I have 20 pictures per listing, all item specifics (well about 30 of them) filled in first 4 words are most useful, to the point that my listings were used as an example at the Open event. She then admitted they are hearing ti a lot from business sellers that sales are dying, they are feeling unloved and taken for granted.
I asked if she could give me 3 positives to being a business account that could justify me spending over £20k on the site last year in fees apart from the legal stand point, her only example was if she was to buy she'd buy from a business as they offer returns and have better feedback scores, so basically I could offer returns on a private account and have the same feedback score but save myself £20k a year.
All my feedback will be passed to the relevant team who when you speak to them at an open event wont have a clue what I'm talking about as it seems the relevant team are full of made up people who don't seem to sort out the most basic issues but love to change unsold to inactive and then back again.
Obviously this was on my business account with 25k items sold, 650 listed and 9k feedback with 99.9% positive.

Ok so a few weeks later.
The listings have gone back to inactive not ended/ unsold, (read previous message) sales are right back down again.

If I may? As per style-wise's advice in message #3, it's a good idea not to use a floor as a background, nor anything that LOOKS like it could be a floor. Must admit I'd think twice about buying a cushion that looks like it's been on a floor no matter how clean the floor.
I'd also suggest including a scale object or ideally a ruler in your photos, even though you often include measurements in your text; a scale object/ruler shows size better, and you might not then need text measurements. There are bound to be buyers who don't read all the text or don't take it all in, whereas almost everyone looks at the main photo. You could combine those two suggestions by considering a 'craft mat'.
Almost all craft mats come with printed measurements on them, price from £5 depending on size and material (silicon, glass). Some can be folded, to save storage space.
(Many crafting sellers photograph items on a craft mat, due to it showing measurements, and it being conveniently already on their desk. It's common to see their text say simply "Colour and size as shown in the photo", which saves them from adding a wall of text.)
