Simply Delivery Help

Hello,

I'm a fairly new seller on ebay, only been selling a month. I have been using royal mail click and drop and picking tracked 48 and dropping my items off at my local postbox because they are pokemon cards and large letter size. Royal mail wont collect to my road for some reason, I work full time and dont have time to drive to a post office or parcelshop. The evri service is really bad in my area and I dont even know when the evri drop off is in my area. I am concerned when simply delibery is compulsory I wont be able to just select Royal Mail Tracked 48 and drop off at postbox. Is that true? Will I only have option to drop off at a delivery office or parcel shop or have it collected? Because I cant do that. Not to mention it looks like ebay will put postage price up? Buyers wont pay higher postage will they? So stupid we should be allowed to select our own courier and how we post it. Everyone has different circumstances.

Re: Simply Delivery Help

You will still be able to use a postbox also to account settings  then postal preference and set to Royal mail

For items under £10 and under 100g that fit in an envelope you will still be able to use custom postage options.  For anything that doesn't fit that criteria you will need to use Simple Delivery.

Re: Simply Delivery Help

If your items are under 100g in weight and under the value of £10,  then you can use your own postage methods and prices,  those items are exempt from Simple Delivery.

Re: Simply Delivery Help

Thanks so much for clarifying!

This whole thing is so confusing and frustrating! I dont understand how they can be so stupid not to realise they will lose business over this decision because no one wants it. Hiking postage prices up as well is just going to stop buyers purchasing anything. Like legit what are you meant to do if you get given a courier and method and cant physically use them because its too far to take too?

Re: Simply Delivery Help

I have had a label problem this morning via Simply Delivery , I contacted customer service asking them to help . I explained how my local Evri drop off was a 15 mile round trip yet I had a local shop who takes 4 different courier company parcels but not Evri . How you was able to drop a parcel off at a Inpost locker when you did your shopping at my local Tesco supermarket . At this moment I still am not able to print the label , was told there was a method to edit the address but the parcel would not be covered by Ebay yet under the old system they did a automatic check as was prompted if something was not correct and it would change things for you if you asked it to . So how this is a improvement on the old system I really do not understand . As far as i am concerned it is just another way off taking money from the buyer when times are hard enough already .                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          What ever happened to the old saying " If it is not broken don`t fixit "
