1) Well, the anger which is shown here in Ebay community forum and on Reddit shall increase exponentially on a far more ferocious scale and shall become far more widespread, as the Real 'S*** has not yet truly hit the fan', but it will do once April 15th 2025 arrives and beyond.
2) Also, this has really targeted the Disabled people of The UK. Many within that sector will be Private Only sellers, and use the traditional system as I myself has always used, which is simply taking parcels to my local post office, and then manually typing in the tracking reference number on Ebay once it's sent, and NEVER ever try to use any Online System, and QR codes or messing around with weights and lengths of the parcel, and so forth and so forth. Basically the Disabled sector shall fall into the category of people who 'Cannot' change, due to their disabilities. Ebay has completely disregarded them altogether - (in other words) - they can all get stuffed !! - so, expect a HUGE backlash from them, and many won't admit that they are disabled either, as many will be too embarrassed to admit it, and should't have to either
3) Many Private sellers shall Quit Ebay for selling and sell on other sites. Also, within that sector, they'll be those who will boycott Ebay, and also buy elsewhere as part of their protest. Remember that when it comes to price-point of purchase. Other well known sites especially are equally as competitive.
4) Expect many more Newspapers to Trash Ebay, especially the Major newspapers, which shall create an even greater backlash. What starts Small show grow and grow

5) I think Ebay could face several lawsuits against them as well over this Mandatory decision. It also cannot be ignored that Evri's own exclusion list of all the items which they won't pay one single penny in compensation - which then leads to either Ebay having to pay, or the buyer or seller having to pay, if it gets damaged or stolen - and believe you me. Evri's terrible reputation of simply driving to the address and simply knocking on the door, and leaving the parcels outside your door and rushing back to their vehicle and quickly driving off, is very much their standard practice. That alone just goes to show at their lackluster approach, and there has been many newspaper articles and even shown on TV news at how parcels get stolen so easy, as Evri makes that oh so very simple. If you were out when it arrives, and just left on your door-mat, then it could suddenly chuck it down with rain, and the water would soak through the parcel, and then what's inside could be ruined, especially if it's a Vinyl Record. Of course, Evri don't have to care, as Vinyl Records are under their Compensation Exclusion list - as you can see here >>
