safety checks on electrical plugs

I have listed an old Bakelite electrical plug socket adapter and been asked by a potential customer if it is electrically safe. I want to know if i am required to supply such safety checks or conform to any rules as a private seller. This has not occurred to me before, i hope i am not breaking any rules trying to sell the plug socket. Thanks for any advice given.

Personally i would list as "for parts/not working" and i would also block the member asking questions.

You're a private seller, not a business, so I believe that it would be a case of the buyer having to check the safety of it before using it.
