So I have customers who bought from me in the past. They said we are old friends because of those occasional sales. Initially they were polite and just asked if discounts are accepted but recently they started offering me their own prices in a private message and also expecting free postage. When I said no to that they got moody and shared some images what people offered on similar things in the past. I can offer a discount for their loyalty but I'm not going to be pushed with discounts. There has to be balance.

Sounds like manipulation.

I had a customer like that. Started demanding discount on other items, if she lost out on auctions, because she had made me money by bidding up the price on the ones she lost. (And I'm talking about BIG discounts 50%, even 75% - they were mainly low price items, £5 - £10, but still....)
Blocked her pretty quickly. She was a seller too, and her feedback showed that's how she got most of her stock.

It does. I was selling to collectors and there were the same people interested. I realized it is not good to depend on the same people buying my stock so I will be broadening the type of items I sell.

The customer I talk about appears to earn really well and spends a lot of money on ebay. She paid with no fuss in the past. So I know she is capable to pay but just got comfortable with never-ending discounts.

I had one too, a few weeks back. The item in question went missing from the USA hub. I got ebay for business involved and they give her a refund after investigation.
she wasn’t happy and demanded I send her the same item but for “free” with “free postage” added quickly to my blocking list.
