yep that's that's right your buyer fees have helped to drop my weekly sales by 75%
I am sure eBay already makes a huge profit from data mining and advertising
as usual in the UK Paying more for less
be lucky to have not lost it all before the end of the month as what i sell goes in to supporting those less fortunate than those money grabbing greedy scum bags at eBay

If you were trading on an eBay business account, you wouldn't then be subject to the buyer fee being added to your listings.
A private seller is one who is just selling off their own personal items such as clothes from their wardrobe, bits from their loft/garage etc.
A Business seller is someone who buys or makes items to sell on. They need to be registered as a business to meet the requirements of UK law. They need to declare income to HMRC once they reach £1,000 worth of sales (eBay will be providing HMRC with your details anyway so it's vital to keep correct accounts for your tax return). You can obviously offset more expenses as a business seller, but can't offset any at all as a private one.
To register as a business seller simply go to your Personal Information in your account and to the right of Account Type, which will be showing as 'Individual' you'll see an Edit option.

This doesn't affect your feedback profile or any current listings, it merely upgrades your account so that you're compliant with current consumer and eBay policy.
If you're also selling your own items, just open another eBay account (you can have more than one).

Starting from 4 February a fee of 4% + £0.75 is charged for Private sellers --- as a business seller, Buyer Protection is included for free for you and your buyers. They’ll get the same protection, without any additional costs.

Saling off a few spare plant cuttings and plug plants. Etc. To then us to buy etc compost etc.
How would buy one from ebay now when they are more expensive then the local poundland or home bargains
Add to the fact ebay could help sellers and buyers using some of their huge profits to support sellers that then continue to make them the huge profits.

That's so weird, out of 148 listings, 145 of them are showing as new meditation/motivation CDs. I can only see 3 listings for plants.
The CDs could (and should) go on a business account, but to be honest there's nothing you can do about the plant listings, they will be subject to the extra buyer protection fee and I do agree that this then out prices them from the buyer market.

'Music For Meditation And relaxing pure tones. Frequency Music. Nature Sounds recorded in our studio orders on request for any sounds mixed uniquely Just For You Welcome to CONSCIOUS SOUNDS 432Hz'
The above is from your profile.
This is what Ebay say:
If you plan to sell casually, such as selling items you no longer want, a private account is the best option.
If you want to sell large quantities, if you have items that you've made or bought to resell or if you already have a business outside of eBay, you’ll need to register a business account.

Well looks like that it going.to have to leave ebay. Just 3 sales in 7 days.
So left with all I had to sale still sitting there.
Lost 96% of sales and customer contact in just a week.
Well done Ebay you must be losing millions as well from bringing in buyers fees

If you were properly registered as a business seller, your items would not have the new buyer protection fee.
