Re: listing

Free listings only apply to private seller accounts.  Because you have registered as a business account, fees are payable.  On the plus side, you won't have to use Simple Delivery, which is very complex - as a business seller, you will be able to use your own choice of postage/carrier.  Another plus is that as a business seller, your buyers won't have to pay a Buyers Protection Fee, which can put some buyers off buying from private sellers.

Re: listing

If you mean buy goods in, with the intention of selling at a profit, yes that's fine on a business account.

I would recommend you have a look round the Business Seller Board to see what issues may arise for business sellers.  This board (Seller Central) is mostly populated by private sellers, although some people have both types of account - that is fine, as long as you don't sell the same product on both accounts.

Please feel free to ask as many questions as you want, there are usually plenty of people around to answer.  The most reliable answers are from the Mentors, who are long-standing experienced buyers/sellers.  That's not to say that other people can't give reliable answers as well!

Re: listing

That is why i asked

They may mean that or the may mean retail arbitrage, which has different pitfalls from just buying to sell.

Re: listing

I mean to resell the stuff I do not use anymore or are still new. Like Vinted I mean. Can I have both accounts private and business at the same time with same email or different email and same number?

Thank you for reply 🙂

Re: listing

If its your own stuff you don't need a business account, only if you buy, make or offer a service with intension to sell do you need a business account.

Yes you can have both accounts just don't sell the same thing on your business account.

Re: listing

If you're just selling your own stuff which you no longer want, you can do that on a private account.  You only need a business account if you buy goods with the intention of selling them, eg large volumes, multiple copies of the same product, lots of new items etc.  A few new items on a private account is quite normal - I'm sure we've all bought an item and regretted it or never used it, and subsequently get rid of it on an ecommerce platform like ebay.

I can't answer your question about email/number as I don't have both types of account, sorry.

Re: listing

You have to have a different email address. If you use Gmail you can do (Normal email address) + ebay. Co.Uk and it will register as  new address but will go into your existing email account. I expect all emails have  similar functionality.
