Anyone else had a case where the item showed as delivered and the buyer was refunded ? One buyer claimed it was NOT delivered to her address and ebay refunded her. I lost the item and money. How to avoid it in the future?

If the item was sent to the delivery address showing on the order details after the buyer paid, and the tracking number shows delivery to this address, then you should be covered.
Presumably you added the tracking number to the dispatch details if you didn't use an eBay label?
Was this an eBay item not received claim?

I used an ebay label but all the tracking showed was "delivered". It happened some time ago so I don't know whether the system has improved but it still haunts me.

If this was for Royal Mail, on the tracking page click the "Confirm Postcode" button and enter the buyer's post code. This should then show you the delivery picture and a map of where it was delivered with GPS coordinates.

What was the reason that eBay gave for not finding an item noi received case in your favour if tracking showed as delivered?
Presumably it showed as delivered when the case was first opened, or was there some kind of delay?

item was delivered, buyer opened a case not delivered and ebay closed it in her favour because there was no signature. It really was a while ago. I only wanted to know if such things can happen again with GPS and other forms of tracking.

What was the value of the order? eBay only requires a signature for "evidence" of delivery if the order value is £450 or more.

£40 was refunded and postage costs

How long ago did this happen? You could have appealed that decision and won by pointing eBay's own published policy out to them.
