Re: buyers protection

Refunds like you are describing are not to do with ebay Buyer Protection Fee.

Its related to ebay Simple Delivery.

Did you send using ebay Simple Delivery?

Re: buyers protection

In that case - I'd refer to the ebay guidance on SImple Delivery

  • You'll be protected if the item is lost or damaged from the point the item is scanned into the carrier's delivery network and until it's marked as delivered
  • We'll work directly with your buyer if they experience any delivery-related issues or if they don't receive their item

If the buyer has been refunded by ebay - it SHOULD mean that the buyer was refunded with ebay putting up the funds, not you and you get to keep the proceeds of the sale. You don't need to do anything.
