buyer testing item

I am confused I've been on Ebay since 2008. sold items customer collected before. they just called collected paid said thanks then went. This time I tried to respond left little late. Complete voluntary work. He called then tested the item spent ages saying not recognised even though I'd updated & charged told me off in a message saying wasted his time. What should I expect in future.

I hope I have read your post correctly.

If a buyer collects an item , they can still  later within 30 days, open a case for item not as described,  and you will have to fully refund after getting your item back,  this your responsibility too, as covered by eBay's 30 day MBG Money Back Guarantee policy.

hi thank you. The point I was trying to raise, item not sold, just waisted our time. I reported item to manufacturer following there statement. I thought quick & simple that's why i avoid home collections. At charity shop as volunteer. Late replying took ages at charity shop. Ii had to wait & manager had to wait not on. thanks.

“The point I was trying to raise, item not sold, just waisted our time”

but you said in your opening post - “they just called collected paid said thanks then went.”.

What you are saying is contradictory.

My deductions from OP's posts. (Probably wrong, so apologies).

OP volunteers in charity shop. Normally if they sell an item on eBay, customer just turns up, pays and takes item away. It's also possible OP sold item privately and arranged for customer to collect from charity shop.

This time, customer wants to test item, that doesn't work, so rejects it. Accuses charity shop of wasting their time. OP annoyed as they and their manager had to stay late in shop to meet customer, wasting their time.

OP complains to manufacturer of item (outcome unknown).

As for what information OP actually requires, not really sure.
