Why does eBay's Customer Support Suck so Bad?

It is impossible and EXTREMELY difficult to contact anyone (a live person) via Chat, Phone or E-Mail...working through issues makes my blood pressure go up because it is impossible to get a hold of anything outside of a robot!  Amazon makes customer service soooo easy!  I wish is was easy to sell things on Amazon as a private seller, if Amazon figures this out...kiss eBay goodbye!  If they would only figure out customer service, they would be in a much better place!  I wil not buy anything on eBay becuase if I have an issue I know I will not be able to get a hold of anyone, thus all of my purchases go through Amazon!

You're registered in the US, so will need to speak to your US customer services:

Why does eBay's Customer Support Suck so Bad?

The problem isn’t getting to speak to someone, it’s the service you receive when you do get to speak to someone.
honestly it doesn’t matter which call centre, it might be just the issue I’m trying to resolve but all I get is lies. I tried to resolve this issue 2 years ago and it was the same problem, they gave me advise that was financially damaging. I tried everything to get the transcripts or the recording of the conversation only to be told I had a url problem with my email and the email wasn’t going through when they tried sending it! They advised me the only option is to contact the people who run Microsoft servers they use and basically ask them to fix the impossible, but did state that this was unlikely.
so 2 years later you can not believe the exact same thing has happened again. I shouldn’t need to record my own calls to cover my back. It’s honestly unbelievable. I could ramble on about this for hours. The case currently has gone off to review and I’m waiting to hear back but this time I’m not giving in. This has caused me more stress then you could imagine.

Why does eBay's Customer Support Suck so Bad?

If needing to contact and chat with ebay over written form is preferred then that's an individuals personal choice. It is also a right under consumer law and ICO code for a business to have effective, coherent customer engagement and offer more than one means of contact.

Under the equality act and referenced in ICO guidelines, no one should be outcasted or denied communication options ie a deaf person should not be expected to reply on taking a call back, it is ignorant and problematic.

Ebay used to have a chat team, but switching over to a bot has not only caused issues and limitations of engagement but limited the pathway to get a resolution. ie type of issues so commonly seen in forums and social media are not listed , and most chat options end in either opt to call back to close chat.

"Under the equality act and referenced in ICO guidelines"

So you say that these fully apply in USA?
