Because eBay took away that facility about 15 years ago.

To avoid the customer getting annoyed and not using eBay again.

eBay would take the view that even though some negative feedback might be warranted, if some is left inadvertently and upsets the customers, that customer might leave eBay and go on to tell their friends about the bad experience.

and that’s too much of a risk for eBay.

If it's the cot, you used Dunelm photos and listed it as new.

Putting Preloved right at the end of the listing is asking for trouble.

I assume you listed it as New because you are not allowed to sell used cots on eBay

I can see you are a new seller but you do need to have a read up on many Ebay rules.

You are not allowed to sell secondhand cots - when you listed the cot, the only condition option was probably 'new'.

For safety reasons, you are not allowed to sell pre-owned cots.

You can't leave buyers negative feedback.  Leaving negative comments, 'What a time waster' on  a positive green dot is not allowed either - it is feedback abuse and can damage your account.

Equally, leaving comments aimed at other members on your listings is not allowed:

Its to stop sellers retaliating with a neg when they have done something wrong and been left a neg by the buyer.

Because sellers abused feedback.

As proof that eBay were correct in brining in this rules is the false positive you left a buyer "What a time waster", that's serious feedback abuse.

Also, naming and shaming other members in a listing is a very serious listing violation, especially as you followed it with masked profanity - if they see it and report it you will have serious problems.

Selling used cots as new is circumventing eBay rules they put in place to protect babies.

You’re a very new seller and very bullish in your approach, both here and in your listings. I wouldn’t dare buy from you. 

If you want to stay and make a success of eBay please read up on what you’re allowed to sell (the used cot was an absolute no and potentially very dangerous) and adjust your attitude to your buyers. 

I would say the reason negatives can’t be left for buyers is to prevent the kind of things you’ve still somehow managed to get in, and which might result in buyers not using the site for fear of it.
