What's going on with the pricing on Ebay???

Hi all. I practically haven't sold on Ebay since Brexit, just listed some items but don't understand what is going on with the item and postage price?? For example, some stuff for 12.50 yet the listing shows 13.75 or something? Postage shows 2.95 although I put 4.50? How do I change it back to what it was? As the selling page has changed since I was here last. I also don't understand how some listings I had put on for Christmas (stockings) are still on there and have turned into BIN Good till cancelled?

Hello wardrobe,

The BPF is what is making your item prices increase, and S.D.is what is increasing your postage costs!

And unfortunately you can't aviod either of them/ go back to what it was 🙁

(you *may* be able to avoid Simple Delivery for a little while longer by taking a 'roundabout' route to custom postage, but that escape route won't last long; *all* private sellers will be under the S.D. cosh sooner or later...)

Have a read of ebay's announcments on the BPF and Simple Delivery to get an idea of what they are trying to do here..... then read the various threads on here to see how they've gone down with the private-seller contingent. 😮

Your older items show they were listed as 'buy it now' rather than auction items in November and December last year.

They will stay 'live' until you actually delete them.

As you haven't sold for a while, you do need to catch up with the changes as well as the Buyer Protection Fee.

Use 'Help & contact' top left of your Ebay page to find out about getting paid (payment holds are now routinely applied until after delivery is proved or feedback is received, but there are various conditions) and Simple Delivery.

You have on your listings that you only accept Paypal.  With managed payments, all buyers pay Ebay so you don't even know how buyers pay and you can no longer specify that they have to use Paypal.
