Where are the private and business buyers on eBay ?
I note recent confirmation of a concerning reduction in buying turnover in the year to date.
Agreement voiced that it should be the sellers paying commission … not the buyer via BPF.

The revenue changes designed to punish private sellers has back fired it seems.

I like buying. But at the mo I am not selling so cannot buy. It's not rocket science but this platform has been heavy handed with Not-So-Simple-Delivery so folks are reacting.
It's not the buyer protection fees (like Vin^ted) - just another name for seller fees although I preferred it when it was FVF and buyers preferred it too cos they new what they were paying up front.

It’s human psychology to be honest, like the price including the TAX (VAT) when you buy in a shop.
When you buy something the thought of being charged a fee that goes on top of the price puts you off buying.
With the seller paying a FVF it’s sort of transparent to the buyer even if it ups the price.

this is the first time i have been on here for a little while, too busy with the other two sites i have joined! As i have not been on i have not been looking at things. Whereas i have bought stuff off both the other sites because something catches my eye when i am on there. So no selling and no buying with e bay! Made a couple of sales on each site but still finding my feet and may have overpriced some of the items but i will redo them when i have got everything listed.

You're listing new items, which helps with the eBay algorhithm. Completed listings show that Buyers are paying less than your prices, so you'll have to be patient. If the item is popular enough, Buyers will get to yours with time.
