Has anyone had dealings with this buyer?

Bought a Sonos Bluetooth speaker from me. Sent by royal mail tracked 48 and have photographic proof of delivery. Still showing as he hasn't received the item. I believe he has bought items under a different name and scammed sellers as reported under Reddit. E Bay saying no rules have been broken so far. Any advice appreciated.

well done!!! I got off the phone earlier after case got closed as in favour of the buyer, it offered an appeal I spoke with a very kind soul on the line with eBay, he made a biiiig mistake he sent to a return address that was not mine at all!!

This is really panning out to be a big fraud case it seems I recommend once this is over and I have published a YouTube video everyone's more than welcome to share there journey and misery of this low life.

We need more people to report buyers who do this practise of buying good intact items then swapping for something else and worse!! not even returning the fake versions back to sellers!

I sell consoles, and he has purchased multiple from me in the past with no issues, but he bought one at the end of November, and to me, it seems he was unable to sell it before the Christmas period ended, so, what he decided to do was OPEN THE CONSOLE AND FLICK OFF A CAP, DAMAGING THE BOARD, just so he could claim it's a 'no power'
I don't think he realised I'm a technician and would notice the blatant damage and the fact it's impossible for that cap to blow OFF of the board removing the pads with it.

This guy is an absolute confirmed scammer and really shouldn't be on the platform at all.

Incredibly disingenuous, and reading everyone else's experience with him, I'm wondering, why are eBay letting buyers like this thrive?

It's really not an issue for me as it's an easy fix, but I'm thinking of the people who are just selling their items to him, for him to then open it and break it, and then force a return as he was unable to sell it.

Why on earth can't I leave a negative review for blatant abuse?

It really makes no sense to me. He's been added to the block list anyway, and if you do a little research on his eBay name, you'll see a petition pop up with a lot of disgruntled/scammed sellers signing it.

Oh Blimey.. he's still at it.

I would *usually* give a buyer a very small benefit-of-the-doubt (mind you, with you being a techie I'm far more inclined to take your informed word anyway....)  But NOT this buyer.

He's a crook.

End of.

When the 'ell are ebay going to do something? We keep being told ebay *do* take 'actions' against some members, and that we will never know or see the results.

Well, it's painfully bleedin' obvious ebay have done naff all about this one.

(I'm glad you can fix and re-sell, but you're right. A lot of sellers wouldn't have a hope ....)

Yes this guy nearly got me more than a year ago. A year!!! He likes high value items like consoles, cameras, lenses etc. Ebay have done absolutley nothing to stop this guy despitebthe numerous complaints. I dont sell anything of high value on ebay anymore because of this seller. Even though I have blocked his account he has several others set up that he uses to source his goods for his criminal enterprise. So sellers beware. The only reason I can think of ebay not  doing anything is that maybe they have been told by the police to just let him carry on so they can gather evidence. An ongoing investigation maybe? Hope something happens though. He deserves to get his just deserves the evil little man he is.

This guy has been known to swap entire boards out as well as returning completley different items as part of the refund process. He is 100% a conman. I have spoke with him via ebay message several times and he is absolutley hiding behind the laws that govern online platforms like ebay. Real nasty piece of work.

I have just had a sale to this - "no mention" London buyer who only buys on this account so doesn't get negative feed back. The web is full about this ebay buyer and the company registered to it suggesting a scammer.  I haven't been paid yet and my inclination is to cancel the sale but what reason should I give?   Any advice would be apreciated and this is a £90 Canon camera.  I have now blocked both the buyers buying and selling account but I gather the buying one is a moving target.

I'd cancel immediately as 'problem with buyer's address'. Then put him on your BBL.

Make ANY excuse you like. Just DO NOT DEAL  WITH THIS PERSON.

DO NOT SEND HIM A THING.

EBAY HAVE LET HIM GET AWAY WITH IT FOR AGES,  WHICH IS WHY HE KEEPS STEALING

Just cancelled it as suggested, I wish I had researched them earlier  and cancelled before they had won.  You can't even read the feedback they have been given for buying.   I thought I had blocked that company a year ago but I guess they had a name change to protect the guilty.

I sent this buyer a £400 camera. He has received it - I have a picture of his feet (Thanks Royal Mail) - but I have yet to receive confirmation of receipt from this buyer. I guess it's 'bye bye' £400 after reading this. Thanks eBay!

What 'confirmation of receipt' are you expecting?

As long as you have tracking proving delivery to the address the buyer used at checkout you are protected from an item not received claim.

'I sent this buyer a £400 camera. He has received it'

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If it's marked as delivered, he shouldn't be able to claim 'not received'.

If (which you *might*) you get an 'item not as described' claim from him, come back here for advice before you do anything.

(There is a method/route to follow ,involving 'Report Fraud' etc., that must be done in the right order.)

I was conned by this fat slime ball even though my parcel to his dump had
been marked as received.

Sorry to hear that. It's really bad that this person has been known about for some time now. A simple google search left me astonished and concerned - hence me posting. This really does need to be sorted out by eBay.

Trading Standards are only interested in ilegal vapes and baccy raids that get reported in the media, they say they are there to help business but they arnt, you cant even contact them directly you have to call the CAB, maybe when we get a change of gov they will cut non core servcies like TS.

His account is fraudulant, the company registration number on ebay is not correct according to the UK government website companies house.
