T&Cs for new 300 listing limit for private sellers

Following a discussion on another thread, I decided to re-check the email from eBay about the new limits.  I found this:

The following will count against your monthly allocation of free listings:

  • New listings
  • Manually relisted items
  • Automatically relisted items if you're a business seller
  • Good 'Til Cancelled listings (at the time of first listing). If you're a private seller, renewed Good til Cancelled listings will not be deducted from your allocation of free listings in subsequent months
  • Listings that you end early, or we end early
  • Duplicate identical auction-style listings (even if one or more of those listings doesn't appear on eBay immediately)                                                                                                                                                                                           So that reads to me that if it includes "Automatically relisted items if you're a business seller"  then that implies that they do not count if you are a private seller...  I don't see any other way to read that - do you agree?  It makes a big difference to me!

I was told exactly the same as you, so have kept it at 300 to be on the safe side, frustrating....as like you I've another 300 items sat in my drafts & didn't sell section.... which are mainly clothes & other household items that i'm stuck not being able to sell.

I think they are falsely advertising & on tv too re 'its now free to sell" it isn't free to sell as there are restrictions & limitations which they fail to mention. It's false advertising.

It is  free to sell.  If you list something for a tenner and it sells, you'll get a tenner.*

Ebay just haven't mentioned that its not  free to buy.....

(*the above only applies to private sales)
