Simple postage Doomsday has arrived. Serious decisions to be made.

So It has come for me today.  Advanced postage options are gone.

They have even changed my current items listed to simple delivery.

I also cannot select over 3 days dispatch which as a freelance worker with another job I cannot guarentee.

So my only solution is . I put my dispatch time of 5 days in my listing so people know . 

I then select seller pays postage and it then shows as free postage.. I add on the postage cost on my buy it now price and I can use my own postage . Lets hope I can get the address afterwards ... I know it might not be possible.

This all seems like a horrible work around.

But otherwise I have to let a customer choose the cheapest delivery method ( and they will )  Everyone knows that EVRI is only good enough for small disposable items or items that can fit though letterboxes . Otherwise there is no security within the Evri system and post delivery driver completely no guarentee your item will arrive as they can be dumped on the street commonly and easily .

I have got very used to using ebay but It looks like I should move some of my sales to Reverb as they take sellers more seriously. I think it would be quite easy to offer an advanced seller interface and have a simpletons interface .

Do you sell pro-audio gear? Which does tend to be sold under the category 'musical instruments'......

If it is listed there and you sell under Simple Delivery, you might fall into the unlucky 'exclusion list ' category 😒

So yeah, the clunky work-around  to get your own, insured postage is probably a good idea!

Ebay have now excluded anyone selling anything over 61cm, as there super fantastic controlling system only allows you to post something up to 61cm. They know it’s an issue but haven’t done anything about it.

i cant help you either 

all I know is it appears for some sometimes 

it’s absolutely pathetic 

as many items are exempt from simple delivery 

the button should be there 

why isn’t it???

there are workaround buts you have to play around to see which works , if it does

for larger or heavier  packages than medium parcel or over 20kg I’d try listing it as a huge item ie kitchen table and chairs and custom comes up automatically 

do your thing then save draft and when you go back to put it in right category it may or may not retain your custom postage options
