I know there is lots on the board expressing frustration about simple delivery. I live a 10 minute walk from a Yodel drop off point, but to get to eBay's preferred couriers I would have to drive. I am fed up having to bypass the "simple delivery" option. Ebay can you stop trying to bully me into doing it your way? There is nothing "simple" about this for me. Result is that I am going to take break from selling until eBay has seen the light and made it simple for everyone. I will be using facebook and gumtree more, and will search for other option similar to eBay and give it a go.

That has been admitted by eBay
the lengths they’re prepared to go to and risk thngs just to make a few more dollars when they could make them much less problematically and dictatorially is utterly amazing
actually just plain pathetic and stupid imho of course

I agree about recording your displeasure before packing it in, and I can see that you've already removed your listings. It's of no help to any company if they don't know why they lose customers, so you would think that ebay would *want* to know why they are losing members and listings. Good luck with whatever you decide to do next.

EBay should have given people the choice of using it or not
if it’s so brilliant and simple everyone would love it but they don’t
even if it works for THEM
because it doesn’t work for OTHERS when it SHOULD even when eBay says it should, it doesn’t
and that’s unfair, wrong, etc , yawn ebay

'EBay should have given people the choice of using it or not'
Unfortunately, eBay would have been well aware that if they didn't make Simple Delivery mandatory, most would just continue to use Custom Postage, which is so obviously a much easier, more flexible, mostly cheaper, more convenient, far superior system.
eBay have introduced Simple Delivery solely to make money, regardless of the inconvenience, upheaval, exasperation & dissatisfaction it has created.

Maybe they have a copy of Darn-old’s handbook on how to run a business and have a big board and a sharpie!
