I list a few things on ebay occasionally, but this new simple delivery is just rubbish for sellers. It assumes that ebay actually know the size and weight of items And that everyone can easily get to Evri or other courier services easily. Why did they have to stop the seller from deciding how to post items? Put me right off bothering to use Ebay.

Any chance of bringing In Post Locker Drop off back? It makes it way more convenient that going to a PO etc. Not to mention cheaper for me, so I can sell more.
Simple delivery is not simple at all if you have used ebay for the last 15 years, its annoying delivery. We're not stupid, let us choose.

I'm fortunate that I live near one of the Royal Mail / Evri lockers which are just as good as the In Post, But I know I'm in the minority there. ,Though I agree - only allowing two courier options was incredibly shortsighted.
One can only assume and hope that they are working on bringing more options on board.

Yes unfortunately all we have here is Inpost lockers, which are great for ebay.
Standing in a queue and also paying extra is not great for some sellers, like myself. It makes me reluctant to sell on ebay. I will have to post via Royal Mail and drop off to a counter, more inconvenient and more cost.
Hoping they bring in more services!!

Surely ebay can source items for me which are suitable for selling and charge me commission for that. They can then automatically list these items on their platform in my name charging a compulsory huge listing fee, rip off anyone who wants to buy them with their so called 'Buyer Protection' by pretending items that are tracked don't have that, not forgetting to dictate who they decide I will use to mail the items regardless of the fact that I am an adult human being and can easily obtain cheaper (and more reliable) options. Finally they can take a sum of money from my bank account and think of some airheaded excuse at a later date just because they think they are all powerful. All this will be done claiming it is in my interest and will make life on ebay a pleasurable experience.
Over twenty years I've seen ebay change from something that was actually quite a pleasant experience to a ravenous money grabbing monster which treats their customers (and that's what we are ebay) with utter contempt. The time has come when those customers are sick to the stomach with their braindead dictatorial attitude. I, like many others, have had enough - I'm out. Bye bye ebay, rest in peace.

I am so annoyed by "simple" postage being forced on me.
I had a good system in place before, now it's all messed up, I have to go to a less convenient corner shop for Evri instead of Yodel, and it's more expensive.
Considering just switching to Vinted or similar...

Absolute *bleep*e,,, just had to refund two orders because eBay assumed the size of the item wrong. It was too big for the Royal mail medium service so there is no way of increasing the level of service to Parcel Force or another courier. They suggest sending it and Adjustment will be made to the cost! If it's too big, it's too big... is it going to be rejected and returned with me out of pocket and bad feedback left by the buyer? not really worth the gamble!

It won't be Vinted you'll move to if its what you are selling on ebay.

Do you have reason to believe that Vinted are about to allow the selling of a large number of brand new items by an account? As currently that isn't allowed.

I think Vinteds always had a “professional seller” type account for traders and companies

As a professional seller, you can sell items allowed in our Catalogue Rules. However, keep in mind the exceptions below, which apply specifically to Pro sellers...
While you can use Vinted as part of your professional activities, please note that certain things are not allowed:
whether they are any better than eBay at policing this policy is another question entirely

Oh!
I didn’t see those bits
well what’s the point in calling a seller a pro seller if they can’t sell as one
and I think they probably don’t police it that much
they used to police every little detail a couple years ago I’ve found now you can get away with listing in wrong category eg to get a normal postage rate if that category had a stupid one whereas before it would get flagged up really quickly
seller can try it and see I guess
🤷🏼♀️

It’s a bit ironic that eBay switched to copy the competition model to only to lose customers to it /the competition because they just couldn’t quite do it right

Because the business could be selling second hand goods I imagine.
Will be interesting to see if Vinted are better at spotting businesses trading as private sellers in a few years time and doing something about, otherwise the site ends up in the same mess.
