So I got my first sale of a DVD box set using simple delivery. I listed five items yesterday as a test. I have disabled royal mail as an option as I won't have access to a post office near me during working hours. Especially with the 3-day dispatch.
No prizes for guessing what eBay have done. That's right. They've created a label for royal mail. Why have they completely ignored my request to use only Evri. Royal mail is disabled in my settings.
So now I've had to cancel the order and apologise to the buyer. Well done eBay.

Ebay does warn you in the T&Cs that they can override your choice to exclude a carrier, which is very big brother and will almost always be very inconvenient.

But it's ridiculous. I offer free delivery so it makes no difference to the customer and I can't get it out within their 2 days they want me to. Do they not realise that's why you might have selected what you selected.

If you offer free delivery you can purchase your own label and apply for a refund of the Simple Delivery one.

That's not really a solution to a avoidable problem l.

As it stands, it’s the only solution available unfortunately.

Maybe evri doesn’t deliver to your buyers location? Isle of Wight, Scottish islands? Etc
cant think of any other reason they’d override your choice

I have disabled Evri yet when i was listing an item Ebay did not disable it. I cancelled the listing.

My first thought too. Or possibly the seller's own location?

I have all the Highlands, Ireland turned off for this very reason.
I have been using eBay for many years this is just a forum account.

Can you get RM to collect it from you?
