Another Simple Delivery query...
I can specify my courier as Royal Mail.
I can - with some tinkering - specify the postage rate.
I can't see where to specify Royal Mail collection.
This means I have to go to town to drop off my parcel.
Can anyone advise where/how to specify Royal Mail collection for Small Parcels please?

When your item is sold and after you've generated a prepaid label on eBay, you can book your collection on the Royal Mail website:
https://www.royalmail.com/collection

Ah - so if I use the RM website (which I used to do pre Simple Delivery) I can choose the posting I want AND select collection, all in one place.
If I use Simple Delivery, I have to use Simple Delivery postage costs (which are not always correct) and then go to another web site to arrange collection.
Summary: instead of one website, I now have to use 2.
Thank you for making my life easier and more efficient, ebay. Thank you.

I’d just the one Royal Mail. I won’t be pushed around d by eBay on my private account

I'd love to, but ebay forces me to use Simple Delivery. If I had the option to use just Royal Mail directly I would.

£3.38 for me RM only. See pic. (I'm not on mandatory SD but can choose it "if I wanted to".)
(And to be pedantic the buyer is not buying RM48, they are buying Ebay Standard Delivery which has its own definition.)

I did get £3.38 on my own test - posted here 1 minute after yours. But I also noticed if I changed from Buyer Pays to Seller Pays it goes up to £4.48 - have you (or anyone!) seen any ebay explanation or any threads/comments about why a seller pays more? many thanks

Terrific. In the meantime... Keep using two websites.
Thank you eBay for making my life simpler. Thank you.

I believe you, I don't (see above pic) and I don't know why yours would be different. I am using a web browser - are you using the app? Maybe that works differently but by now I'm just guessing.
