Simple Delivery

Another complaint & complete farce with Simply Delivery.
Been a member for nearly 20yrs, I’ve never been the most active of sellers or prominent but I’ve had enough. I have now ended any/all active Iistings & will never sell again on eBay whilst this abhorrent service is forced onto us.
Customer experience has been totally ruined.

Simple Delivery

As a Buyer, I actually think Simple Delivery has improved my experience. Postage costs are generally lower, things are automatically tracked, and help is quicker when items go missing.

It sounds to me like for you SD has ruined the Seller experience. Do you know you can opt out of SD by becoming a Business Seller?

Good luck selling electronics, wherever you choose as the best fit.

Simple Delivery

I've been trying to get SD to work for me, but for the most part I just can't.

I had to abandon a listing for a set of three books priced at £5.99. I'd forgotten that books aren't exempt for SD, and was planning to use my stamps.

£5.99 minus the BPF is £5.52. Custom postage isn't available, and the only SD option available costs £3.38. I'd be left with £2.14 - not worth the effort. If I listed with 'Buyer pays' postage, nobody would buy the books (which can be bought separately on eBay for around £2.30 each with free postage).

Not being abe to use my stamps (apart from in a limited number of cases) is really going to affect my sales, especially for lower-priced items like the set of books above. More accurately, I'm coming to the conclusion that many of my items just won't be worth listing in the first place.

This lack of control over how my items are posted is really frustrating me, and, just to add to my joy, I saw the announcement the other day about the price for medium parcels going up for those of us who have de-selected Evri - eBay really are deperate for us to use them, aren't they?
