According to ebay Simple Delivery Help section items like stamps, cards (Invitations & Cards) were not included in Simple delivery - has this been rescinded now? and has the Simple Delivery part of the ebay announcement today now been taken down?
The link to the Help section is below:

So I have just noticed on Twitter that @Askebay have responded to someone telling them that the opt-out list is still valid....
Can anyone from ebay actually confirm that ????

I'm not from ebay - why do you think the opt-out list is no longer valid; or will change to be no longer valid in the near future? Nothing I've seen makes any mention of any changes - but maybe you've seen something I haven't [from ebay!].

You may have heard that we recently introduced Simple Delivery, an easier and more secure delivery solution. As a reminder, from 6 Aug, any eligible live listings that aren’t yet using Simple Delivery will switch to this delivery option. In some cases, you may see a change to the courier you selected when listing your item. If you have a preference between Royal Mail and Evri, you can set your preferred courier in your Postage Preferences. There may also be cases where the cost of postage varies from what was initially shown. You can find out more about the rates on our Simple Delivery page.

I think it means items listed before the seller was switched to SD, which are still on the custom postage selected at listing time, but if listed now would be SD, will be updated to SD. But I guess we'll need to wait and see.

Yes, we will wait and see, what else can we do, and hope we don’t have to amend all our listings
it was in the email they sent out today to me , presumably all users?
We’ve made some improvements to Buyer Protection to better support your sales. Starting today, we’re reducing the buyer fee to make your lower-priced items more appealing to buyers. From 6 Aug, you’ll also receive your funds within 24 hours of the buyer paying.
Get your funds faster | ||||||||||
You’ve told us that it’s important to know you’ll be paid shortly after a buyer places an order, and we’ve listened. Starting from 6 Aug, you’ll receive your funds in your eBay balance within 24 hours of the buyer paying. This will automatically apply for orders completed after 6 Aug, so there’s nothing you need to do.
How Buyer Protection works
Buyer Protection helps maintain a safe marketplace with risk monitoring, fraud detection, 24/7 customer support, and secure transactions for all purchases.
We’ve now reduced the fixed portion of the Buyer Protection fee from £0.75 to £0.10. Buyers still pay the fee and it’s included in the item price, so there are no surprises at checkout. Here’s how it’s calculated:
| ||||||||||
When your buyer purchases multiple identical items in the same order, they only pay the flat fee once.
A live calculator is coming soon, where you’ll be able to enter a price and see the Buyer Protection fee in real-time, so you’ll know exactly what your buyers will pay. When making or reviewing offers, you’ll also see the fee split out from the total item price.
From today, you’ll be able to see the updated rates on your listings, and will notice the greatest impact on items priced £10 or less. If you have any active auctions and offers, they’ll continue to include the existing rates.

Hi Ed Dreams, thanks. I have found it now, I don't get emails like this but it did go to messages. We can only hope they add some variations to postage rates, but overall a positive step. A bit like a house plant that you thought had died, but has put up a little shoot..... Mind you, i just tried listing something and BPF hasn't changed at all. It did say today (actually it said starting today....) It could be another of these gradual rollouts that we have been enjoying so much, or was it one of those, we sent the announcement to early. The excitement of an Ebay implementation......
