I have sold an item on ebay for the first time for a long time and didn’t realise I was now under eBay's Simple Delivery.
Unfortunately, it seems the collection I have arranged is from an old address as I didn’t realise your main address might not be the same as the selling address. Stupid there are 3 different places to change addresses depending on what you’re doing on your account settings.
I can't find a way to cancel the label nor can I change the collection address now the label has been created so effectively any courier DHL is picking up nothing from old address.
Rang eBay and they can’t help.
I suppose I will have to try to ring DHL tomorrow.
anyone had a similar problem
Cheers

It's tedious but probably best to cancel the transaction with buyer's agreement via the dropdown menu arrow for item on your order page. Change your collection/dispatch address on here:
https://accountsettings.ebay.co.uk/uas/addresses
Then relist for the buyer to buy again.

Yes I read this but am I right that if I decided to send the item myself, like by Royal Mail, I won’t get paid by eBay as I haven’t used the simple delivery option?

You will get paid but the money will be held for 14 days.
You can message the buyer with the new tracking details but the option to upload a different tracking number when a Simple Delivery label has not been used is no longer available. You would still be able to add the new number to a "not received" case if the buyer opened one though.

As said above, it is a nuisance, but simply cancelling the transaction and offering it again to the buyer, is the best option. For peace of mind and your sanity, it is probably the best course of action. Ringing ebay and DHL is unlikely to accomplish anything. Can I also point out to the seller, pking1601, if you have not sold for a while, item collection has also changed, as the buyer is now required to give you a collection code to confirm the transaction. You enter it into ebay to authenticate the purchase and ultimately get your funds. Again, get this code before the buyer or delivery driver collects the item. Don't fall for the 'I'll message it to you later line'. Just making sure you aware, lol, I thought it best to point out. There are countless threads on here where the item has left the seller's premises and they are getting blanked by the buyer. This is the only method ebay accepts as proof of collection and a completed transaction.

Sorry, ignore everything i typed above, lol. Just realised I saw collection and assumed the dhl was arranged by the buyer for collection. Its been a long day, lol.
