Hi All,
I changed my personal account to a Business account (big mistake as you cannot change back).
I joined mid-month and had 650 items listed and paid up to 1st March (Basic shop £27 + VAT)
I did not realise that as each item renewed there would be lots of 12ps going out.
I was going to delete many lots of 28th February which I down to about 180 fixed listings.
So my first half month as a basic shop has cost me about £60 with very few sales compared when it was personal.
These are just observations and apologies for taking so long to get to the point I am still getting charged lots of 12ps even today 1st March when a new calendar months has started. I only have 180 listings so I am not over the 250 but still getting charged 12p on top for every renewal.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks in advance to all the people that help on this forum.

When I went from Private to Business Account a few years ago (mid month), eBay only charged me for the days used the first month.
When I have had any problems with eBay fees, I contacted CS in Dublin & they sorted it out quickly.

12ps are usually when u have a 2nd category. Also watch out, 10 day listings u get charged for. I binned the shop was just a waste of money. Also if you cancel, it doesnt end till the same date next month which is scandalous so u get another shop sub payment.

Not the same issue, but hey ho....two months in a row i've been over charged, ie charged for listings that were within the 250 basic shop allowance......they refunded, but it's worth keeping an eye on.

Business sellers with more than 90 listings pay less to list with a shop. Without a shop business sellers pay 30p (+VAT) per listing. A basic shop costs £27 (+VAT) per month so the break-even point is 90 listings: 27/0.3=90.
Each shop level becomes cheaper depending upon the number of listings:
Basic shop: 90 to 416 listings
Featured shop: 417 to 2,700 listings
Anchor shop: 2,701 listings or more
Just to explain the above. If you have a basic shop you get 250 "free" listings. The point where you would need to upgrade to a featured shop would be 417 listings ((£77 - £27)/0.3 = 166.6). The difference in the shop subscription price is £50; after the 250 free listings are exhausted it would cost 30p (+VAT) per additional listing. 250 + 167 = 417 listings.

They're not. 12p is for additional fixed price listings beyond the "free" limit of the shop level (10p + VAT).
