Hi all,
I ordered and item which was dispatched by the seller. However, on the tracking on Evri there is an update stating the below:
The sender has asked us to return your parcel. Please contact the sender if you need help.
Has anyone ever experienced this before?

Sometimes, the wrong updates can appear on the tracking info. Keep an eye on it and if it doesn't turn up by the estimated time, open a case for INR.

Hi yea this happened to me just now, both me and seller had confirmd we havent returned it at all. We will call evri tomorrow to confirm what happened. Have you resolved it?

Yes, I've contacted the seller and their not sure either.
I'll wait and see if the item gets delivered.

Their updates can be skewed. I had one that said it was being sent to the senders depot after it had transferred to mine. It turned up 3 days later

I have two items en route to two different buyers today that show the same thing. I have not requested any return. I spoke to ebay support who confirmed that they were seeing the same thing and to raise a case with them when the items were delivered back to me. No indication that it was a problem with incorrect reporting. They seemed to imply that the ebay system had generated that request of Evri. Will see what tomorrow brings.

Having this same problem today. I'm the buyer, item was meant to be delivered today so went to check the Evri tracking and get the message
'The sender has asked us to return your parcel. Please contact the sender if you need help'
Contacted the seller and they knew nothing about it. So it remains to be seen if it will actually be delivered or if its on the way back to the seller.

Did you purchase from a private seller; i.e. was it a "Simple Delivery" label? If so the sender was eBay.

That's a good point I suppose ebay would be the sender as yes it was a private seller so simple delivery.
Tracking on ebay shows UNABLE TO DELIVER but on the Evri website just a warning with update on your parcel.

As per another thread there appears to be some sort of problem between eBay and Evri. This could certainly get interesting.

Hi I have the same problem with the same two conflicting messages from Ebay and Evri. It does look like there is a problem between these two companies. As to where the parcel actually is who knows. In my case it never got past being waited for by Evri (We're expecting it)! Maybe it is in the system.

Very odd. I wonder if this could be related to the AWS outage earlier this week. I e just had the following email from eBay with order number of the effected item:
We wanted to let you know that due to a technical issue, the delivery of your parcel has been delayed:

This is the update I received this afternoon. Thankfully, it only affects one low cost item sent from my private account. It looks like your parcel may also be returned to the seller.
'We wanted to let you know that a recent technical issue has affected the delivery of some of your orders. Unfortunately, these parcels couldn’t be delivered to your buyers and will be returned to you over the next few days.'

Hi , was this a Click & Collect order as I have had issues over the last few days and have received mesages from eBay advising that they are having technical issues with Click & Collect . today they have informed me that a parcel is being returned to me and also not to dispatch any click and collect orders until futher notice.

I received two emails in the last 24 hours:

Hi, this fault was apparently between Evri and Ebay. The seller was given a new Evri number and that seemed OK with them awaiting the parcel. Now the Evri site won't show anything on either tracking number!!
