In the context of small items that are typically disc based movies, just what kind of sellers think it acceptable to offer R-M 2Nd class even when I make it clear that I wish to pay the exyta for R-M 48 hour tracked?
I live about an hour south of Birmingham.
I do not believe that it is a lot more effort to allow R-M 48 hour tracked upon request.
I don't sell, but find it strange that Ebay allow sellers to receive payment without proof that the customer has received their order

that is YOUR experience!. I have been buying and selling on here for a good number of years now and only use RM to send and prefer RM when buying (will not touch anyone who uses EVRI) Whether it is just luck or not, I have NEVER had a parcel go missing either as a buyer or seller. Certainly with EVRI the opposite is true, i have never received a parcel as the local carrier will not leave the main streets and regardless of complaints you are lucky to get a reply from the company. When you do it is worse than useless. You seem to be confused as well as people use EVRI because it is cheaper than RM not because they are more efficient!

The problem is the seller can’t do right for doing wrong.
We use 2nd class untracked to make the price fair and some buyers are unhappy, in part made worse by eBay estimated delivery dates that give a false reality.
We make it RM tracked and another group of buyers are unhappy because they don’t like Royal Mail, whichever type of label is used.
We change to Evri and then get the Evri haters who think Royal Mail are perfect. It goes on and on.
On the forum a pattern is that there are some buyers who are very vocal about this issue and most of the time seem to have no history of sales themselves so don’t appreciate the difference in cost and practicality between the different services.
I’d urge anyone with this attitude to RM to sell themselves and see how it feels when unfair negative feedback starts coming in.

Then you get the buyers that want a fast tracked delivery service but want it free or low cost. I use Royal Mail as it suits my items and delivers everywhere.
