STILL no SD Outsize parcel option

I can't believe eBay STILL hasn't put the large size item option in Simple Delivery.   It is unbelievable.  The NATIONAL MAX DIMENSION FOR EVRI IS ONE METRE.   Did eBay actually negotiate a contract exclusively for smaller parcels?  I'm beginning to think that is the only explanation for the present medium-size parcel max.  It just is not enough for fragile items.  Yes, I could tick the box but if it is is real limitation, I'd soon be in trouble.

It is increasingly being noticeable that eBay are out to inflate the delivery pricing in an effort to make more cash for their greedy selves on each sale from the sellers on their platform.  As previously stated in one of these postings this greed will result in a forthcoming bite on their bums.

It's been pointed out before, those instructions for calculating volume would disgrace a bottom-of-the-class schoolboy. Volume is length x width x depth, and it's not measured in centimeters.

True. I have no idea why eBay refers to it as volume when that is not what is actually being calculated, it's the combined length and circumference.

I'm aware that is what it says in the small print BUT it is not what is available in the dispatch options.   It is not a delivery option available on Simple Delivery.

If, as a seller, I submit an outsize parcel by declaring it falsely to be within the specified SD category, then I am in breach of the contract thereby established.  If that parcel is lost, legally I have no claim.  If eBay's EVRI contract is indeed only for medium-sized parcels, then they could charge the addressee the balance.  So, it is not a solution to ignore the present situation.  It would be a gamble & I do not gamble.

You don't declare anything.  e-Bay estimate the size/weight and any error is on them, providing it's within the carrier's maxima.

That's wrong in law.  In order to list the item, I have to state I accept the maximum parcel size which is NOT given as EVRI's maximum - that is the whole issue.
