SD Delivery.

Sorry if this has been covered before in previous Community messages, I do try to read as many as I can, and pick up hints and help along the way. Since the gradual spreading of Simple Delivery, I have managed to hang on selling by my finger tips. This weekend I found that several of my listings had been switched to Simple Delivery, with no more access to Custom Settings. Simple delivery or no way. Fair dues I had been expecting this and was surprised it had taken so long to appear. What I didn't expect was the inconsistent approach that Simple delivery applied. I had listings where I was still able to post Large Letter at £1.55, but similar listings with the same size and approx same weight were now SD only at a cost of 2.72, some listings actually fell into the ordinary letter size and weight. Not so long back if I had charged that much more in postage I would expect eBay to say something.

Simple delivery for me was issuing an invoice where combined postage was no problem, charging the going rate for postage, issuing refunds if I had been over zealous in postage charges, then nipping to my local post office, where the nice lady sends my parcels on their way. I'm too old now to catch up with technology.

One other thing I noticed this weekend before I go. I sold a couple of items, revised the invoice to combine postage, and then found the items had switched from postage to collection!!! This has happened before where neither myself nor the buyer has hit the collection button???? Just wondered if anyone was aware of a glitch in the system causing this??

SD Delivery.

Over the weekend, whilst experimenting with SD I found a listing with a price of under £10 had the opportunity for Custom postage. Change the price to over £10, and a note appeared at the bottom of the screen saying 'Postage options updated' and the custom option had gone. Change the price back to under £3 and the  custom option was there again.

SD Delivery.

Could I ask a question?

As you've sold over 14,000 items in your 20+ years on E-Bay, why do you not think you should be a business seller?  Have you changed something about the number or type of items you're selling recently?

As a business seller Simple Delivery wouldn't apply to you, so why put up with the inconvenience?

I'm genuinely interested and am making no unsubstantiated accusations.
