I totally agree with other Members that sales (or lack of sales) have impacted Private Sellers recently. The cause of this is no doubt the new fees placed on Buyers, and now were expected to wait for our money!
I don't know where this is all leading, and I am starting to feel demoralised and losing enthusiasm trying to sell on this platform. Is this the end for Private Seller I wonder? I Would like an honest explanation and some clarity from Ebay on what exactly is going on, and what direction they intend to take this Company in?

I think the direction they intend to take this company in is to have EBay as a selling site for businesses. When people talk about private sellers on here I sometimes think,”What private sellers?” It does seem to mostly be businesses selling under private accounts and still getting away with it despite the threat that EBay were going to send all their details to the HMRC. The Buyer Protection will be a win win for EBay. Businesses selling under private accounts might be more compelled to register as businesses and it will probably get rid of the two bob genuine private sellers. Private sellers are basically being punished for businesses failing to register correctly.
I didn’t like the wording of the Buyer Protection Policy. This isn’t verbatim but it sounded like,”Don’t worry, we’ll make sure you get your item and are happy with it before we let these awful people have their money. We won’t let them hurt you.” Which to me sounded like it’s taken for granted that all private sellers are a bit dodgy and EBay have to keep their eye on them.

Same here I’m a business seller , literally had to drop to a basic store as cannot afford eBay anymore. Just getting one sale per day now when it used to be 15 per day last year

Wrong I am a business seller but compared to this time last year - orders last year were 15 per day now if I’m lucky one a day.

Exactly how I looked at it to be honest.
I suspect eBay may have overlooked the point that many private sellers are a large proportion on eBay buyers.
when I personally am looking to purchase something expensive, unique etc I don’t think let’s go to eBay and find it. There are plenty of other sites who I go to first.
eBay have forgotten their place and lost their way IMO. All the things that made eBay great and unique are being eroded away.

I buy a lot of charms but I don’t buy them on eBay though
