Royal Mail Tracking Updates

Hi im just wondering if anyone has noticed royal mail tracking (ebay side) is playing up (even more than usual) i know its always been buggy but recently more often than not i upload a tracking number and no updates appear at all on ebays side. (Royal mails side they show as delivered) 

The main reason it concerns me is i had an INR case which the tracking was showing as delivered so i uploaded this to the case and its not even updated within the case 24 hours later. 

eBay recently said they was updating the API to make it better but my fear is it may have made it worse,

Sometimes, it could take a while for the system to mirror the updates from Royal Mail, but I'd be happy to take a further look if you confirm the item number, and when was the item delivered?

Also having the same issue as OP

Puchasing RM Tracked labels through the ebay platform, Royal Mail wesbite shows successfully dispatched and delivered - Ebay no update whatsoever...

This is negatively affecting sellers metrics, ie: late delivery - Along with a poor user experience for the buyer.

When will this be resolved?

I have't paid that much attention to delivery info. I just wait for feedback to confirm everything was ok (or a message from the buyer if it wasn't).

But I have noticed one tracked item from an order on 2/9 that hasn't updated in eBay, that RM say is delivered (on the 4/09). My "Late delivery rate" is 0.00%. So I'm not sure what that has affected.

They are also displaying estimated delivery dates for an express service when buyer chooses an economy service.

This also leads to poor buyer experience.

Express (24) 1-2 days economy(48) 2-5 days as stated by royal mail themselves.

It’s frustrating when you take the time to add tracking to the item. I’ve got quite a few going back weeks where I check the Royal Mail website and it’s delivered but eBay shows it as tracking added or just despatched. How hard is it for eBay to keep this updated especially when they place such emphasis in adding the tracking

Ive had items that customers have paid for the 24 tracked service on their orders, held up at the depot for days.… getting on for a week.

Ive several that tracking hasn’t moved on since last Wednesday morning at approx 3am. (Now Monday lunchtime )

Since many  sellers aren’t getting paid until the item is delivered, this isn’t good for sellers or buyers .

eBay needs to address this
