Good evening
I have been selling hatching eggs in here for 10 years and have just had my listings removed for policy violation. Has anyone else had this happen ? Also if I search hatching eggs and I can purchase from multiple buyers who is this the case ?
thankyou in advance

Ebays policy (not sure if it’s been lately changed) is no hatching eggs but they have it all in item specifics options when you list under pet supplies
maybe contact customer services

There are currently 5,100 results when I do a search for "Hatching eggs".
As I see it they are either prohibited or they are not prohibited.
Could you please look at this?

adding to the advice already given -
If the removed listings were the same as your current listing - it could be to do with the odd images that have no relevance to what you are selling.

Having just had a look at your listings prior to posting this reply, I see that you've currently got a listing for bantam eggs for hatching. However, given the fact that you show a picture of a hen in two of the photos, if eBay see that they may well remove the listing again. If you keep on falling foul of eBay's listing rules then they may well hit you with a permanent selling ban, so I would advise you to remove the pictures of the hens and replace them with photos of the eggs that you are advertising. I see that you've also got an image of a delivery confirmation shown amongst the photos - this bears no relevance to bantam eggs, so I'd advise you to remove that as well.
In addition to the above, the fact that you've also got two photos of VDUs from the Birmingham Women And Children's NHS Foundation Trust showing in your listing could also get you into trouble, if not from eBay then from the Trust in question. Therefore you ought to delete those images, as they are nothing to do with bantam eggs, which is what the title of the advertisement suggests you are listing, and by using those images of the Trust's information without their consent then if you are currently employed by the Birmingham Women And Children's NHS Foundation Trust you are placing yourself at risk of being pulled up by your Manager if found out by one of more of your colleagues, in which case you may well end up facing disciplinary action. If the Trust were to take an extremely harsh line with you then you could potentially end up getting sacked!

eBay policy recently changed and no live animals including hatching eggs are allowed to be sold on eBay UK
Other listings may have been listed before the policy change but will not be relisted at the end of the listing period.

Yes, I spoke with an agent today and they will be removing every hatching eggs as the policy changed. They class them as live animals now…

I had my listings removed today as well. The top listing was removed (with 250 watchers), so it looks like they start with most popular listings first.

Hi, yes, I have 3 listing's and only one keeps getting removed strangely.
I managed to list it again but a few days later it's been taken off again, while the others remain.

Have you read the updated live animals policy that was mentioned earlier? It clearly states:
"Live animals - including pets, vertebrate and invertebrate feeder animals, and hatching eggs - aren’t allowed on eBay."
I have a feeling that if you persist in trying to list hatching eggs you'll discover eBay aren't joking when they call it a permanent selling restriction.

Why are you still listing a prohibited item?
You need to remove all your listings that are no longer allowed, not leave it to ebay.

All of my listings were removed today. For 'le bresse' eggs and 'silver appleyard eggs'
Completey understand that you can't sell 'live animals' but hatching eggs unless they are incubated for the correct days/temp/humidity etc then there's nothing 'live' about them

You would have to take t up with ebay. They make their own rules, and we must all adhere to them or expect to be sanctioned if we don't.

I do wonder if it's just some kind of control over avian flu, just erring on the side of caution. I know that there was an interesting study done on this back in early 2022 in relation to hatching eggs from game birds, there apparently is a low risk.

That's exactly what I was thinking.
