I've just sold an item, (ps3), on EBay and it turns out that the postage, (new fangled simple postage), isn't enough to cover delivery. I've paid for another delivery option now separately to ensure that the customer gets his item in time, but I can't see an option for updating the tracking number with the new service I've paid for. Tbh I've not used EBay for selling in a while now so this new postage system kind of confused me somewhat. Anyway, I'm not too fussed about the original postage paid being refunded or the extra cost of sending, I just want to update EBay with the new tracking number so that it will show as delivered and not think that the item hasn't been sent.
Any help very much appreciated. Seem to be finding it very difficult to find someone at EBay I can actually talk to

I have checked your PS3 listing and since you paid for delivery yourself by offering free delivery it means you can claim back the money for unused simple delivery postage labels within 14 days by going here https://www.ebay.co.uk/claims/simple-delivery/refund/seller
I'm unsure about adding your own tracking number. If you cant add it then you'll get the payout after about 14 days

To add the new tracking number you still need to generate the original prepaid label. Then go to the More Actions dropdown menu or View Order Details > Postage > Track Package > dropdown arrow and change the tracking. That needs to be done on a desktop browser.
After that as @w79805 has said you can get a refund for the unused label.
