How much have they gone up?
Is it roughly 4% = 75p?

Just checked yes the buyer protection fee.
If register as the business you are then that is not added and will go away.

It's the new Buyer Protection fee
But it is only for Private sellers who sell their own unwanted items
It doesn't apply to business sellers who sell items they bought/made/grew to sell so if you update your account so you are trading legally the additional buyer protection fees will be removed.
Your payments will be held for up to 14 days after the sale too unless you upgrade to a business account as you are selling items you grew to sell, which makes you a business seller in law.

as already indicated if you were correctly registered as a business seller the fees would not apply.

Appears to be about 7%

I just attempted to buy and it tells me ther are adding the BPF this calculated at 4% + 75p.
It is rounded
But you are a business on a private account so you need to change to a business account to avoid this increase.

If you register as a business account you pay fees though dont you, as a private seller there are no FVF fees, but a business still pays these so its either private and +4% + 75p per item or its business and you pay FVF...eBay are certainly isolating as many private sellers as they can......horrible way to treat people wo made your business what it is but then its all about the money now!

Thanks, it's a fledgling business and not made a personal penny yet. Listed on my private account but will change to business seller now. All new to me and extremely hard to make any small business viable.

Good luck with the new business 😁

Don't rush the change over. I mean it is as easy as clicking a button, but the fees are different and there are more options available like multi listings etc. You will need to familiarise yourself with all of it to give yourself a fighting chance.
I believe if eBay asks you to switch they give you a grace period of a month at least, so take a while to plan a new strategy with shop fees and relisting fees etc.

Ditto @suelel1968
Do your research on whats involved in becoming a business seller on this platfrom, look at all the costs involved, use the help section for insight/understanding.
If you need help jus post on the forums, there is a specific business seller board, but usually where ever you post there is a good depth of knowledge

How would this work for refunds? It seems to be a buyer fee like Vinted, but I don't know how well eBay have implemented it. So if we had to refund a buyer, would it come out of our own pockets?
