Postal Delays at French Customs

I have a number of buyers in the EU, mainly Benelux, Germany and France.

An item was posted to a buyer in France on 04 April 2025 tracked.  No problem with Royal Mail, item arrived in France on 07 April. Buyer messaged me on 12 April saying item not received .

I've been checking tracking, latest update cleared French Customs on 18 April. Now out for delivery, may might arrive some time this coming week.

It would appear that French Customs are deliberately delaying anything from the UK. Brexit punishment?

The envelope had the correct CN22 Customs label with all the correct details.

Just making sellers beware when sending items to France.

You think they're suddenly punishing UK senders for something that happened 5 years ago?

I would say it's more likely something to do with GPSR, or a technical issue somewhere.

I don't think it has anything to do with GPSR. My postage stamps do not pose a safety threat to the EU!

Technical issue? No.

I have posted items to Japan and USA that have been delivered within 8 days. However, this is not the first time I have had a problem posting to France.

Neither do my video games, but I still have to convince the EU of that via GPSR.

And since for some reason it definitely couldn't be a technical issue, I guess they must just have it in for us.

They have long memories.  It's not Brexit that's causing the problem, it's Agincourt.
