Postage Label

Printed off labels, went to post office only to find out four out of 11 parcels were scanned as large letter.

I can not find anyway to correct this and eBay have charged the buyer Parcel price. Another eBay con.

When you make your listing, you need to use the dropdown box to select the correct weight/size band for postage, don't just list with what is showing in the box. (Though if the 'recommended' option is for LL and the item is a Parcel, if you leave it at the 'recommended' you should be exempt from any overcharges!)

Okay, I have printed and paid for new labels directly with the post office
at a cost of £10.35.
eBay have wrongly charged the buyers for parcel post and issued large
letter labels so how can this happen? The system is seriously flawed even
printer settings change overnight so you never know what to expect. NEED TO

So now your buyers will get a refund for the postage they paid (as the labels they paid for were not used), and you will be out of pocket by £10.35.

You should really have let these go, then made sure that all your other listings live and new have the correct size and weight option. Do not rely on eBay choosing the size/weight band.

But you have incorrectly charged buyers, so you need to issue them a refund

No, the buyers need to issue a refund to the seller. The buyer will get their postage refunded by Ebay.

Just been and posted items, the lady on the counter said no end have been
in with the same problem so it is something that eBay has done recently
because it was okay. I don't think it is fair to try and pass this off as
our fault when we have not been warned of any change to what was working.
You need to come clean and reimburse buyers and sellers.

eBay's AI guesses the size and weight of the item and bases the shipping on that guess. Apparently, sellers can change the "recommended" option when creating the listing:

"Can I change the recommended parcel size?

Yes. If you think our recommended parcel size is incorrect, you can select a different size when listing your item. If you don’t use the recommended parcel size, and your item ends up exceeding the maximum size and weight of the label, you may be responsible for covering the additional costs of sending your item. This includes the difference between the parcel size and an administration fee of £1 including VAT.

If you use the recommended parcel size and your item exceeds the maximum size and weight of the label, you won’t be charged any additional costs. Just go ahead and use the Simple Delivery postage label. The courier will accept your package providing it remains within the maximum weight and dimensions for the service."

Post Office counters have been instructed to accept items with "Marketplace Seller" labels on them even if the service eBay chose for the item is wrong. For example, if a Small Parcel item was incorrectly guessed to be a Large Letter item the PO counter would still accept it provided it had a "Simple" Delivery label displaying "Marketplace Seller" on it. Neither a Post Office counter nor Royal Mail - and certainly not eBay - are going to care if the postage paid was excessive for the item; i.e. a Large Letter item that was guessed to be Small Parcel size.

Give me ambiguity or give me something else.

2nd time today someone has assumed I work for eBay - why pick on me?!
For future reference eBay staff posting on these boards have a blue box around their post and '@ebay' after their name.

As I said before, your buyers will be refunded by ebay, after 14-30 days as you didn't use the labels, but you will still be out of pocket for the money you paid for new labels.
