Post Office Issue with accepting parcel with Simple Delivery label

Went to the post office this morning to drop off parcel which had a QR code for simple delivery. When the cashier scanned the QR code but it flagged an issue which meant they were unable to enter parcel onto their system or give a receipt of postage.  The post office took the parcel anyway but now it doesn’t show on my eBay account  as posted.  The cashier said it was something todo with 24h vs 48h postage but didn’t really know what was going on.  Will call this one a not so simple delivery.  Hopefully the tracking will still work when delivered to the buyer so payment will go through on time…..

My parcels were accepted at the Post Office. They even printed the labels but were unable the give me a receipt. However, I took pictures of the parcels with the levels on. 
What is worrying is to see no tracking updates. Please advice.

Can you confirm that this issue has now been resolved as I have been to the same post office twice now with the same negative result.

Exactly the same thing happened with me yesterday.  The post office assistant told me to take photos of the parcels with the labels he had printed attached so I am hoping this is sufficient to count as a receipt.

Hi All,

The issue with the track48 YA labels has been resolved.  The Royal Mail systems are now accepting the parcels so you should be able to send them through the Post Office. If you were unable to send your parcels and new labels were purchased the original labels can be voided.

For Simple Delivery, the buyer purchased labels will automatically be refunded to the buyer within 30-40 days. For seller paid labels a refund request can be submitted through the webform within 14 days from the order date.

For non Simple Delivery eBay labels, they can be voided within 14 days by going to postage labels on your account.

There will be automated protections in place for impacted sellers for late shipment and INR service metrics.

The problem has now been sorted, three parcels previously rejected have now been sent off this morning, happy days!

Hi so I dropped off the post with buyer paid label, on 3rd Aug. Now it 6th Aug. The postoffice website tracking still shows they are expecting it when label was created in the shop and stuck to the parcel and dropped off at the shop the same time. Should I be worried about this? What would i need to do if this gets lost.
