Payment stuck processing

I have sold over 100 items this year and when payment happens it shows as processing for a while, then becomes available and funds moved to my bank account early next morning (3am ish uk time).

Yesterdays sale that happened in the early evening is still showing as processing and thus payment never got sent to my bank account.

Maybe this is an issue due to the IT outages yesterday?

I think this may be something to do with your banks clearing time and, whilst it is all automated, weekends seem to slow this process down. 

I'd expect to see the funds on Monday.

Yes it could be.

But even weekend sales it shows as sent by eBay early next day, but not shown as credit at bank until Monday.

Anyway with all the IT issues I expect their will be some holdups somewhere in the chain.

So glad I don't work in IT anymore (retired). But when I did we didn't allow updates into production that was protected, until they had been via test rigs and put through testing run plans.

Yes, it is bonkers but also a bit of a wake up call, I feel. I guess it illustrates how fragile the digital world is, and that this should be given some consideration in the future.

It's a wake up call to how badly some IT environments are managed. 
What IT manager in their right mind allows untested patches/updates from a third party onto a production environment.

CEO of these companies needs to invest in new management.

My guess is a lot of these companies have Indian companies run their IT coz it's cheap.

Like TalkTalk did and their SQL wasn't patched for 3 years giving a 15 year old school boy access via a well documented bug. That cost TalkTalk £35 million 😆

Awful though when it's the NHS and it's down to the IT staff based at the hospital admin not applying the security patches, that was a terrible hack and all down to people having one job that they couldn't manage to even do. And nobody got fired for not doing their one job!

Me 2 I sold yesterday evening and payment still processing so I set time away on now til I get paid as can't cover cost on future sales.

It is  especially concerning that they now want to introduce a European digital identity and have all your personal information stored " digitally" online so that you are " monitored"... just in case of ....? But it is for your safety to actually use "" social media or anything online" ...  Hackers anyone?
