Parcel too large for simple postage

Hi,

I am trying to list a new item on eBay and this new simple postage option is causing some problems. 

The parcel will be slightly too large for the largest option available to me and there's other options.

Royal Mail are very strict with size and weight so I know they will turn me away if I try and chance it. 

Does this mean I just won't be able to sell larger items on eBay anymore?

I can't see any other options.

You have to follow my workarounds exactly for them to work.

Many thanks for taking the trouble to point me to this.

I went through your steps but I didn't get the option to create payment or
postage policies.

Anyway, after messing about with dimensions and pricing I eventually did
get the custom postage option which stayed there after I brought the price
down to what I wanted. So I finally managed to list it how I wanted. But
Simple Delivery is a nightmare ... and I've given eBay Customer Services
feedback to that effect, much use that might be!

I had exact same issue on my private account ebay changed my long term listing to SD and even the items marked as large parcels previously using parcelforce at £12 they changed to evri max 4kgs £3.25 for both. I had no idea and when 2 items sold at was 125cm each and evri would not accept it, speaking to ebay rep in india somewhere he closed the live chat on me. I then had to arrange my own postage at my loss. The whole system is possibly one of the worse ideas ebay have ever imposed and is ironic they call it Simple as its completely the opposite. There needs to be more realistic option and especially a fix button where ebay have got it wrong

totally agree with this.  Requested customer service all back and had to explain the Evri sizing to the guy who rang me back who initially tried to tell me it was fine as it was less than 120cm. Had to explain Evri sizing to him which he eventually found on a page then worked it out himself and told me it was too big and someone else would call back. Still waiting
