Parcel Lost in Transit by EVRI

Hello all,

 

So my buyer bought 2 items (clothing) separately and was unable to do combined shipping so I posted them separately. One item was successfully delivered while the other one is missing on transit. I contacted Evri and have been in correspondence for the last week and now, finally they said the parcel is now deemed unaccounted for. Anyone who has experience or knowledge with this, please advise what to do. Do I just start to file a claim via Packlink on Ebay or contact Ebay? I understand that I will have to refund the buyer at some point, do I have to wait until I get compensated from Evri, if they will even compensate me? What value do I have to put when filing claim? Is it the amount the buyer bought the item for plus shipping fee or what?

If you bought through Packlink you claim from them.   Here's how:

You will have to refund the buyer first and claim for yourself.    You have to provide some sort of proof of value apart from the price you got on ebay.   They tend not to accept that.

Thank you for your response. Do i refund the the whole amount buyer paid (item price + shipping fee) or just the item? When I choose full refund it looks like it is just the price of the item and so that means shipping fee excluded. What would you suggest I provide please  for proof of value if the clothing I sold was bought in store and I no longer have the receipt for that. Would the screenshot of my transaction of that particular item do? And if yes then would that mean I can only claim the amount I sold it for so I basically lost some money with the loss of my item or can I find a similar item online, take a screenshot and have it as proof?
