Opt out Simply Delivery

Confused by this. Because when listing there is no way, that I could see, to opt out of Simple Delivery yet their FAQ claims if you don't want to use it and want to get your own labels then opt out when you list. Again, I tried but they made it impossible without choosing free postage.

Re: Opt out Simply Delivery

That must be an old page, out of date now.   You can only opt out of SD at the point of listing for letter items under £10/100g, extra large/heavy items, and for items £750 or more.

Otherwise you can buy your own postage label at your own expense, outside of SD,  but that would be when the listing ends.   You then have the faff of trying to change the tracking number (some more successful than others) or marking dispatched by generating the original label.

Nuts if it is as its whats currently being displayed to everyone when they visit the FAQ.

Re: Opt out Simply Delivery

As stated, that looks like an out of date page.

Can you send a link to the ebay page where you found it?

Re: Opt out Simply Delivery

No, because the item has now shipped. It was when the item was ready to go and I could choose a label. On the mobile app, there was then the option to get more info about Simple Delivery and in the FAQ on there, its that bit.

So I'm assuming they haven't updated that area.

I think that (seemingly app-specific) FAQ is out-of-date. I did a Google search for some of the wording and the only recent exact match was this post on the member-to-member board.

Give me ambiguity or give me something else.
