Hi, because of the numerous threads on here about the new Buyer Fees for private Sellers, I thought it would be a good idea to have one main thread to post the notifications of when the Buyer Fee is introduced in the different categories, now that Ebay have decided to roll it out gradually.
I will try and update the first post every day or two with any changes that people find so they are all in one place.
*Any tips on the best place to find these pending notifications from Ebay would be appreciated, thanks.

Looks like it's been added to Films & TV now. So that's another thing I won't be buying from Ebay anymore.

Just to add to this thread...
Just added a couple of listing for vintage books and a couple for some cones of knitting yarn and noticed the "BPF will be added" notice when entering the price on the creation page. Checking my active / previously created listings almost everything seems to have the BPF added now when viewing the items from another account - odd prices and higher than I set. About the only thing I spotted that didn't have the BPF applied was a clothing item.

I have noticed a couple of my listed items now have the Buyer Fee added - though I have to be LOGGED OUT to see this, when logged in, I just see the price that I actually listed them at, which is not helpful.
I only spotted them because of the irregular amounts that they appear as now to potential Buyers.

One of them is actually in the TOYS Category but because it has a cassette speaker inside, I can only assume it has been taken to be an 'electronic' item?

You can see how your listings appear to other users by going to Ebay's Advanced Search and searching for items for sale from your own username.
I have my page bookmarked so can check if anything has sold without needing to log in. At the moment it looks pretty chaotic with all these looney prices. 😁

Well I have finally said goodbye. I’ve been selling on eBay since … get this. 1999 !! Wow and now it’s the biggest rip off ever. I have now built my business up on Amazon handmade who are fantastic.. can’t fault them, much lower fees, explain things in English to you and are always always there to help.
so goodbye eBay you was great back in the day but now your just pants. 😃

So, if seller makes an offer to a watcher and they accept seller has to pay the buyer fee instead?
Assuming accepting an offer from a buyer also means seller has to pay?
Buyer charged 75p per item even if all items are from same buyer?

Hi, i listed two tools lat night and they both had buyer fees added. A file and a drill bit. However the existing listings do not have the fee added yet. In order to get a "nice" number on the listing i calculated the amount i needed to list at and tthe fixed fee was 70p.
I was surprised that my listings show what I listed at without buyers fees. A little over complicated......

Replying to myself. Of course. The other tools have got the added buyers fee. I just don't see it on the listings page.

Easiest way to check if NBF applies is
Open the listing you are interested in - click on Bids even if it shows 0 - Bids page shows if NBF applies .

Sold two items yesterday, for collection, under the Home Garden category and the Buyer Protection fee is listed as £0.00. 😕

Just listed under Vehicle Parts & Accessories > Motorcycle & Scooter Parts & Accessories > Audio, Communication & Navigation and the BPF has now been added. Don't know if that means all Vehicle Parts & Accessories has it, or just the sub category.

I have nothing constructive to add but I'm just watching this apocalyptic rollout of more features that nobody asked for.
I've been on eBay for some years now and many issues have arose in the past five years in particular. Unfortunately I have to offload a few personal items just now but this really is the final straw for me.
I have a few things listed at the moment, some of which have BPF some don't, unsure why. Feel free to look over them yourself.
Once I sell off this batch of belongings I no longer need Il be looking to sell elsewhere, I only sell about £1000 a year anyway.
Now I just need to hope I'm paid for the £300 worth of goods I just sold tonight.....

ebay is doing a staggered start for BPF. It will reach all categories soon.
