NO LONGER SELLING DUE TO SIMPLE DELIVERY

AS OF 15TH APRIL MY DAYS AS A PRIVATE EBAY SELLER WILL STOP AFTER 19 YEARS.

I AM FED UP OF THE GREED OF EBAY AND I HOPE OTHER EBAY SELLERS DECIDE TO NO LONGER LET THE EBAY CONTROL FREAKS HAVE THIS MUCH CONTROL OVER PRIVATE SELLERS.

Indeed. Thats the one thing I do like about the business ID, I get to manage my buyers post dispatch. Ive had 2 buyers message today asking if I had actually posted their item (I had to hold my fingers back from a sarcastic response 😅) and told both (who paid on 9th Oct) that their items were mailed 10th Oct but as it was sent 2nd class letter, then it is taking longer to arrive. I do wish ebay would be more realistic with their EDD especially with alternate day deliveries. 2nd class letters are taking approx 5 working days to arrive at minimum right now although there are exceptions

Somewhere in the 'Give a Refund' process there should be a clear and obvious warning not to refund for a lost or damaged delivery via SD, but instead ask the buyer to open a case (with an explanation). Too much to ask, I suppose.

EBay have got a long way to go with SD, BPF and automated feedback.

I did what you suggested in your post and it was the shortest list I've ever created.

The pros column had zero and the cons column had one in it and that was Simple Delivery.

I agree that I dread to think how many other things I could have put in the cons column.

I have looked into selling to the US but even that thought has been squashed because of Simple Delivery.

I've brought 4 things in the last 2 weeks from the US.

Everything was going great. USPS was used in the US. Then DHL was used to get the first package to the UK. Then it all went downhill as the package is now with Evri.

I do not want Evri involved in any part of a sale I make.

I wonder how that will go down with RM that Evri are that heavily favoured.

RM and Evri share a lot of things. Vans drop off points and so on. So what
do they both get out of it?

Evri get the extra business i guess and as long as they aren't involved if I chose to use RM it wouldn't bother me.

I can honestly see there being some major headaches when the Christmas season post kicks in.

Especially for private sellers having to use Simple Delivery.
