AS OF 15TH APRIL MY DAYS AS A PRIVATE EBAY SELLER WILL STOP AFTER 19 YEARS.
I AM FED UP OF THE GREED OF EBAY AND I HOPE OTHER EBAY SELLERS DECIDE TO NO LONGER LET THE EBAY CONTROL FREAKS HAVE THIS MUCH CONTROL OVER PRIVATE SELLERS.

"Sorry but they are not. Royal Mail / Post Office Outlets not at fault. The
blame is with eBay for this mess."
The cut and paste quote from The Sun quoted a Post Office spokesman
"Postmasters were informed at the end of February and are adapting to this new process.”

Why have been refusing underpriced eBay labels 6 weeks later ?
I have witnessed it myself earlier this week in my local Post Office Outlet.

There is nothing like on ebay either for search results > Sold Listings or for individual sellers > Sold.
I've read on their boards that there is some way to find out in a very limited way, but it was so time consuming and awkward that I've never bothered (even if I could remember how).
There is a stripe on the Home Page that shows "Recently Sold" items. It up-dates every few minutes but I think it's just a snap-shot of 12 items that sold and the time. I only really look at it in relation to an theory I have about the type of listings that sell and why. Apart from re-assuring that stuff does sell there I don't think it's much good for anything.
You can look at the home page and search for something without signing -up, just like other sites.

I’ve just had to deactivate all my listings, been selling for 15 years…my nearest Evri drop off point is 18 miles away and I don’t drive! I previously used Royal Mail doorstep collection or took parcels to my local post office and never had any issues or had to make a claim.

On the app you click filter and then “show more” and takes you to sold items
its just like when you search for an item, you can then filter the results
dont know where it is on the browser version

Well when Ebay go down the plug hole they will try and say it was a misunderstanding by sellers

Our post office in WH Smiths won't take parcels that are wrong weight or size ,simple delivery or not and Royal mail aren't going to handle items that would lose them money ebay deal or not .

Sorry I was replying to another user and replied to you in error. I was referring to eBay sold item search and not the other place

Sadly the W H Smith brand is soon to disappear and turn into TGJones amidst lots of closures and staff losses. It looks like all the current owners want is the travel shop business.
That Royal Mail are losing £1M a day and will have to change has been discussed here already.
I love both these brands which have been part of my life for long, but can see that change is inevitable, with the internet in such a short time having changed our lives for ever.

A song of very angry men indeed!
Hopefully ebay will soon have a lot of empty shares and empty labels!

Nearly 2500 replies to a post and it's not been marked as solved or archived.
We are definitely living in interesting times!

That wouldn't surprise me. But it isn't our fault that private sellers and buyers were and have been the driving force behind this platform for a long time.

I'm the same. RM collection worked great especially as I don't drive and they even brought the printed label.

True. But with so many leaving and seller numbers dwindling eventually that might show we deserved better treatment.

If it affects their bottom line then maybe but it wont
theyre into big businesses
loads of big business profiting by selling on eBay
when they have shops in the high street
they should, not be allowed here imo
think it’s just me here tonight lol horrible feeling clogging up the board with my name
so off

A lot of business sellers have been saying their sales have gone down on their boards and some have even posted on here and said the same. A big part of that is because a lot of private sellers aren't selling at the moment and because a lot of them buy aswell they aren't buying as much either.

I was talking about companies like next an many others who have eBay accounts
ebay wasn’t set up for likes of them

Oh right gotcha. But even if some of the bigger ones start thinking being on here isn't really making hardly any difference and they aren't getting the business they hoped for will they carry on or start looking elswhere too.
