My posting to sell is showing US dollars. How do I change to pounds sterling? (I'm selling in UK).

Hi a_joyful_nerd, thanks for your reply.
Could you please confirm the item numbers, so I can take a look for you please?
Thank you,
Marco

marco@ebay Hi Marco, thanks for your reply but I believe your answer may be for someone else? I've also posted a separate thread regarding my 'Seller overview' being in dollars but I want it in pounds. Everything else such as listings, delivery, account is all set to pounds UK. I have tried what was suggested in the thread: I am using the url ebay.co.uk, I've cleared cache and cookies, off loaded the app, deleted one listing to see if that would set the overview to pounds, signed in different browsers - my other account is absolutely fine as everything is all set to pounds, it's only this one where the homepage for 'selling overview' is in dollars.

marco@ebay I scrolled further down and this is saying I have 4999 items remaining to list. Surely this is incorrect? I signed up as a private seller.

Hi a_joyful_nerd, thanks for your reply.
I've just checked for you there, and I was able to replicate both issues. So, I've just reported them for you.
Once I get further updates on your case, I will post back here to let you know.
Thank you,
Marco

marco@ebay Hi, thank you and yes please. Much appreciated.

Hi marco@ebay as I have items at home that need new homes as soon as possible (there are no jumble sale or carboot sale events happening here anytime soon), my homepage still appearing as USD. Is it just worth deleting account and creating a new one. Will this cause any issues ? I want to make sure I am doing things right. Thank you in advance.
(Sorry OP for using your thread)

Hi a_joyful_nerd, thanks for your reply.
There are no updates as of yet in the case I created for you, but I will keep you posted.
Regarding creating an account, I cannot guarantee you that the same will or will not happen. You can still list and sell your items, you should get paid in pounds no problem, and no fee for different currencies will apply. Once I get further updates on your case, I will post back here to let you know.
Thank you,
Marco

Hi a_joyful_nerd, thanks for your patience on this.
I've just got an update on this, and once you add your bank details (you haven't added your account yet), the system will pick up your currency and update your seller dashboard accordingly.
Regarding the listings showing 4999 items available and or £39.000, those are your selling limits. However, please note that fees may apply if you go over your free listings or shop subscription allowance.
Hope this helps,
Marco

Hi marco@ebay I truly appreciate you looking into this for me. I will try that now. I wasn't sure whether to add my details yet due to the dollars but I will add details now. If I have any problems I will let you know. Thanks again!

Hi.
I have a problem with "Dollar" sign being shown too - on the Seller Overview page. I am a UK seller (or rather, hoping to be, since I have only barely started). I am new to EBAY - I only setup my account a couple of weeks ago so I'm still getting the hang on the site and trying to get my account properly setup as well sort out a bunch of problems etc. As such I haven't created a listing for sale yet - I am still working on (or at least experimenting for now) a single listing draft (at the time this was typed anyway).
So anyway, as I said my Seller Overview page shows a "Dollar" sign (although the draft page of the listing I am working on correctly displays in "Pound"). I've been reading through the various comments and replies about this, and I have tried the suggested things like, clear Internet cache / cookies / history, log out and in, refresh the page, tested in alternate Internet Browsers etc, but none of these things make any difference (still displays as "Dollar"). Also I have inputted my details as UK and my UK Bank details - although I have no idea as of yet if they have been accepted by EBAY system.
I can't remember if when I first started my account and loaded the Seller Overview page if it displayed as "Dollar" or "Pound". Also I have viewed a bunch of items from other Sellers (for reference), but I don't think any of them were non-UK products. I did (without realising) view a few USA EBAY forums (also for reference), but surely that couldn't have caused my Seller Overview page to turn to "Dollar" could it? If so, that's crazy how EBAY programming can easily swap from one currency to another just by looking at something on EBAY from another country!
Well anyway, I don't know what's going on, and I don't like that "Dollar" is being incorrectly displayed on my Seller page. I'm reluctant to list anything for sale atm, in case somehow my listing and/or account links up outside of UK (which I do not wish to do). Is there anything you or someone else can do to help? I wonder IF I was to list something for sale, would the Amazon system auto-correct itself to display as "Pound" once it detects my UK Bank details etc?

Hi. Im having the exact same issue as “a joyful nerd”. can you please check my account as well?
i live in UK and i tried adding my payments but it says “your payment information is not available on international eBay sites. To view and update this information, please go to Payments on the US site”
i made the account today and added a single product today which is in dollars but everything else is in Pounds. And nothing seems to be working

So i was able to add my bank info. And they said they will verify my account in a few days. But the product is still selling in dollars. Do i wait for verification?
