Yeah, received that too and slightly confused. I'm already on simple delivery, as are the other private sellers who have no say in the matter. Its the only option now. So who is left to be switched over on the 26th December ? I'm away over Christmas for a few days, hope it doesn't mess up my active listing preferences.

I am sick of eBay interfering and dictating how we send items. Now they've even taken to modifying our listings!
Simple Delivery is not 'simple' but exasperating. My printer has become unreliable and I'm not messing about with QL codes or using my phone. All I want to do is use the accumulated postage stamps I already have, or go to the post office and hand over parcels and pay there and then. After this I want to be able to 'Mark As Dispatched' - an option that eBay keeps moving and hiding.
Why can't they LEAVE US ALONE!

100% agree.
Like just about everything over the last couple of years,we seem to be turning into a nanny-state.
The laughable thing is the people/bots making these decisions don't know their 4rses from their elbows.
They will only learn the hard way when their business' go out of business.

I wonder if they are finally rolling out InPost.

Some of my items are on custom postage and I haven't edited them so they haven't been messed with. Does this mean that ebay have included all the rest of the categories that were on custom into their simple delivery? So they will change about 60 of my very low price items onto a postage rate that is disproportionate to their value.

I got the same message and am a bit confused. As a private seller I have to use SD which to be honest has not been as bad as I expected - maybe I have just settled into it. Not happy that ebay can just go in and change the courier - I only use Royal Mail. Thats more convenient for me. So will ebay decide evri is better or perhaps DHL? What about the cost if one is more expensive (or less) what happens to the difference? Also changing eligible items to SD. What are they calling eligible items now? I have some postcard etc that carry £1.00 postage. This was sorted a while back due to the postage costing more than the item - will this revert to SD? Its becoming frustrating being a private seller and I will roll with it and see as I expect a lot will but the never ending interference is getting a bit much. ebay seem give with one hand and take twice as much with the other. I dont want to be a business seller - I dont buy in, just getting rid of 50 years accumulated stuff.
I guess its a wait and see game again

I've also received this message and am a bit confused as to what updates eBay will be making to the listings. I have a few items which were listed using SD opt-out (under £20, Large Letter), does this mean that these items will now also be mandatory SD?
Perhaps marco@ebay or dave@ebay could shed a little light on this and explain what changes are being made, especially given that we're already using Simple Delivery, and what the purpose of the email is? It's all a bit confusing 🤔🤪

There are countless threads complaining about simple delivery already, can we try and keep this slightly on topic, lol, as in does anyone know what are they planning for the 26th December ? Please eBay, don't mess with my listings, again. It's a very generic statement, telling us nothing new (I hope). Resembles the messages they sent out last year, as simple delivery was being rolled out.

At this point, I feel we are getting trolled, lol. It just happens to be, by a multi-billion dollar corporation. Maybe it's their A.I., and its gone rogue, lol.
