Long term outlook for Ebay

I've began to wonder about the long term viability of Ebay.  Over the past year or so there have been so many changes from both Ebay and the implementation of government requirements, each one impacting on the ability to sell your items easily.  We seem so far from the days of the simple online platform that just replaced the old For Sale post card in the local news agent.   some friends have now closed their Ebay accounts due to the detailed personal information requests.   Is this the Future?   Business Use Only.

Re: Long term outlook for Ebay

I'm an investor in eBay. I bought stock in 2012 for $20 a share and again in 2017 at just below $40 per share. There's been ups and downs along the way, but dividends have been good and shares are trading today at $92 per share.

To answer your question, long term, it looks sound. I wouldn't invest again at the current price, but their Investor Relations Dept are excellent (for overseas investors) and the company structure seems to be on a sound footing.

Re: Long term outlook for Ebay

fantastic growth for ebay as they reduce postage prices for high value spending international buyers represent a fantastic growth future as they start to control more of the postage for sellers and eventually should be able to offer ebays own secure postal services as time goes on, the ebay brand has global recognition from reunion island in middle of indian ocean to mexico not to forget french Polynesia more and more high value buyers spending 0000s as months go on as they have total trust in that global brand, nothing comes close!!!
